Age 8, born March 10, 1993 in Ann Arbor, passed away October 9, 2001 at the University of Michigan Hospital. John was a brave boy who for six months valiantly fought Adrenal Gland Cancer. John's patience and stoicism in dealing with this disease was an inspiration for all who knew him. He loved reading, Cub Scouts, soccer, playing basketball, swinging on his swingset with his best friend Lissa, playing video games with his good friend Joey, and spending time with his brothers and mom and dad. He enjoyed attending Lawton school where he was a third grader. His favorite color was green. John's unique sense of humor and outlook on life will be missed by all. John is survived by his parents, Walter and Paula (Manfredini) Crosby, brothers, Walter, age 11 and Henry age 4, grandparents Robert and Myrna Manfredini, Walter and Betty Crosby, Uncles, Thomas (Laura) Crosby, Robert (Jennifer) Crosby, Douglas Crosby, Robert (Susan) Manfredini; cousins, Erik, Mark and Margaret Crosby, and Nicholas Manfredini. Friends may call the MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday from 3-9p.m. Funeral will be held on Friday October 12 at 11a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John R. Crosby Memorial Fund which will be used for philanthropic endeavors regarding children with cancer. | |
